Every CDL series is played across up to 5 maps — 7 maps in Championship play. Map 1 and Map 4 are always Hardpoint. Map 2 and Map 5 are always Search & Destroy. Map 3 is always Overload. Each mode plays differently and each one requires a different betting approach. Select a mode below to see exactly how to bet it.
Hardpoint is a 4v4 objective mode where both teams race to reach 250 hill time first. A “hill” is a designated zone on the map that rotates to a new location every 30 seconds — whichever team is standing in it earns time on the clock. Hold it longer, win the map. The hill rotates through set locations on every map, which means good teams know exactly where the next fight is coming from — and so should you.
How to bet it:
📊 Start with averages — always. Before anything else, check every player’s last 5, 7, and 10 Hardpoint games on our free CDL player stats page. If someone is way off their recent average, bypass them and move on. Trends don’t lie — this is step one, every single time.
📍 Then check the maps. Maps drop day-of or the night before on the CDL’s official Twitter. Every map has different hill locations and rotations — some favor aggressive slayers, others reward smart rotation. Once maps drop, go back to your averages and filter by that specific map.
🖥️ LAN vs. Online matters. Always check whether it’s a LAN event or an online tournament. Some players perform at a completely different level on LAN — filter accordingly. Our team stats page breaks this down so you can see exactly how each player trends across both formats.
🗺️ Know where each team stands. There are 12 teams in the CDL broken into top 4, mid pack, and bottom tier. A team consistently hitting 250 or forcing opponents into comebacks is a dominant Hardpoint team. Check the CDL Twitter for standings and use tier lists to frame every matchup before you touch a line.
🏆 Use CDL Pickems. Check the official CDL Pickems to see where the community is leaning on every series, then use that to frame your player prop decisions. It’s not a guarantee — but knowing where the community leans helps you spot value fast.
🆚 Top 4 vs. Top 4 — expect a tight map. Multiple players can hit their lines on both sides. Dig deep into the head-to-head data on our team overview tool — compare players side by side, map by map, with averages, last 5, last 10, and head-to-head numbers all in one place.
⚠️ Top 4 vs. Bottom tier — these maps almost always go under. One or two players on the winning team hit their line, everyone else is under. You might find one player on the losing side sneaking a line — but don’t force it.
🔄 Mid pack matchups are where sleepers live. Two evenly matched mid-tier teams can produce some of the best player prop value in the league — especially if one team has a top slayer flying under the radar.
🔗 Betting two or three players together? Check our combo hit rate tool — input the combined kill line and see exactly how many times that duo or trio has hit it throughout CDL history. On specific maps. Against specific opponents.
🔒 Want the full edge? Our VIP stats tool lets you input the bookie’s line and instantly see the hit rate — overall, on this map, against this opponent, and on this map against this opponent specifically. Join the Discord and see what our VIP members already know.
Search & Destroy is a 4v4 round-based mode where one team attacks and the other defends — two bomb sites, A and B, one life per round. First to six rounds wins the map. No respawns, no second chances. Every round is its own chess match — positioning, timing, and clutch plays matter just as much as raw slaying ability. It’s the slowest, most tactical mode in the CDL and it plays completely differently from Hardpoint.
How to bet it:
📊 Averages first — same rule applies. Head to our free CDL player stats page and check every player’s last 5, 7, and 10 S&D games. S&D kill numbers are much lower than Hardpoint — lines will reflect that. If someone is cold right now, move on.
🗺️ Map one matters. If a player is having a stinker in map one, don’t force the S&D pick. Take the safer option — flip to the under or find a different player. Momentum is real in CDL and a bad start carries over.
🎯 Head-to-head is everything in S&D. Some players thrive against specific opponents because their playstyle matches up perfectly. Check the team overview tool and filter head-to-head S&D numbers specifically — this is where the edge lives more than any other mode.
⚖️ The tier gap closes in S&D. Unlike Hardpoint, this is the mode where mid pack and bottom tier teams can absolutely compete. No respawns levels the playing field — one good round, one clutch play, and the momentum shifts completely. Don’t lean as hard on tier rankings here as you would in Hardpoint.
🔄 Mid pack teams love S&D. If a mid-tier team has a strong S&D record, don’t sleep on their players’ lines. Check the CDL Twitter and CDL Pickems to see if the community is already onto it — sometimes the value is hiding in plain sight.
🖥️ LAN vs. Online still matters. Slow, tactical modes amplify the pressure of LAN. Some players thrive under that spotlight, others shrink. Filter your research on our team stats page to see how each player trends when it counts.
🔗 Running a combo bet? Use our combo hit rate tool to see how often two or three players have combined to hit a kill total in S&D — on specific maps, against specific opponents.
🔒 VIP edge. Input the bookie’s S&D line into our VIP stats tool and see the exact hit rate — overall, on this map, against this opponent, on this map against this opponent. Overload is a 4v4 mode where one team attacks and one team defends two zones on the map. Each team gets 30 lives combined. Capture both zones or drain the enemy’s lives to win the round. First to win two rounds takes the map. It’s fast, it’s chaotic, and lives bleed out quick when a team is getting slayed — which is exactly why it’s one of the best modes to bet player kills on.
How to bet it:
📊 Averages, head to head, last five to ten — same process. Check our free CDL player stats first. Overload rewards consistent slayers — the players who show up every single map. If someone is averaging well and their head to head numbers against this opponent are strong, that’s your foundation.
👀 Maps one and two tell you everything. By the time Overload hits you’ve already watched two maps. You can see exactly who is slaying and who is having a bad day. Use that live intel. If your player looked sharp in maps one and two, lean into the over. If they looked cold, pass or flip to the under.
⏱️ The overtime rule changes everything. This is the part most bettors completely miss. If an Overload map goes to overtime, whatever time Team A scores in, Team B has to beat that time or match it to stay alive. It goes back and forth until one team can’t answer. And here’s the thing — overtime in Overload is basically a guarantee that players go over their lines. Extra rounds, extra lives, extra kills. Out of eight players on the map in overtime, you’ll typically see six go over and maybe two land under by just one kill. If an Overload map looks like it’s going close, lean those overs hard.
🆚 Read the signs, not just the tier. Overload can be more competitive than Hardpoint — but don’t ignore the data. If a mid pack team is already losing Overload maps against other mid pack and lower teams, that’s a red flag you don’t ignore. And if a top 4 team has dominated maps one and two, there’s a real chance they come into Overload and completely take over. Cross reference each team’s Overload record on our team stats page before locking anything in — the signs are always there if you look.
📋 Use team stats for the baseline. Our team stats page gives you the bare bones — match history, kills, deaths, K/D, and a breakdown by map. Free, fast, and the perfect starting point before you go deeper.
🔍 Go deeper with the team overview. Our team overview tool lets you select both teams, input the maps they’re playing, and compare every player side by side — averages, last 5, last 10, head to head, and head to head on that specific map. This is your sharpest free look at any matchup before the lines close.
🔗 Parlaying two or three players? Run it through our combo hit rate tool and see how often that combined kill total has hit throughout CDL history — filtered by map and opponent.
🔒 The sharpest edge is in VIP. Take your player, input the bookie’s Overload line into our VIP stats tool, and instantly see the hit rate — overall, on this map, against this opponent, and on this map against this opponent specifically. That last filter is where the real money is. Jump in the Discord and see what our members are working with every game day.
